Can body seam welder serve as core equipment for the three-piece can production line. Resistance seam welders dominate the market, delivering high-speed, leak-proof side seam welding for tinplate and TFS (Tin-Free Steel) can bodies while ensuring reliable sealing, mechanical strength and fine surface finish. They are widely applied in the production of food cans, beverage cans, aerosol cans and chemical cans.
Working Principle
Electric current passes through the overlapped joint to generate resistance heat; pressure is applied to fuse materials and form a continuous hermetic weld seam.
Structural Composition
Feeding section: sheet hopper, vacuum pick-up mechanism, conveying rollers and double-sheet detector
Curling section: pre-bending, edge conditioning and cylinder forming to guarantee uniform roundness
Welding section: electrode wheels, welding power source, pressing mechanism and nitrogen protection device
Post-processing section: weld coating, drying, cooling and finished can discharging
Electric control section: PLC, HMI, servo drives and fault diagnosis module
