Full-auto Necking Machine is used to gradually reduce the diameter of can necks to meet the requirements of sealing, stacking and appearance. It is widely applied in the production of tinplate three-piece cans, aluminum two-piece cans and aerosol cans.
Working Principle:
Feeding and Positioning: Square cans are conveyed by the conveyor chain and accurately positioned at the necking station.
Internal and External Clamping: An inner core mold supports the can wall from inside to prevent collapse, while multiple sets of necking dies (or rollers) enclose the can externally.
Radial Extrusion: The outer dies are driven hydraulically or servo-controlled to synchronously shrink toward the center. The metal wall undergoes plastic deformation under pressure to reduce the caliber.
Discharging: After necking is completed, the dies open and the cans are discharged out.
